Development of AI tools is progressing at breakneck speed. One tool we have tried is Google’s NotebookLM. The tool works as the name suggests, you create a “page” of a notebook about a specific subject, and load up “sources” of information about the subject. Sources are pdfs, web pages, etc.
Notebook then, works with the information and presents it in any way you like. It can do short briefings, Q&As questions and answers - the possibilities are large.
We in the IIP have found it extremely useful, for helping us understand difficult subjects and for helping us explain ourselves better.
The tool is especially useful if you are trying to study something you find difficult. Coming at a subject from different aspects will definitely help understanding.
Of course, we had to try to create an “invest in peace” note, based on documents we ourselves have written. The question was if we could find new angles to talk about, if AI could find holes in our reasoning, and if AI could explain it all in a clear way.
NotebooklLM comes with a “deep dive audio with two presenters, a man and a female”. This tool is designed to use the power of AI to explain potentially difficult subjects in a conversational, deep dive format. Sometimes it helps to hear a subject talked about in an informal way, not just reading about it.
Can you use AI to talk about peace, and investing in peace? We think the audio sounds authentic, clear and believable - that peace is the real thing. Do listen and see what you think. And let us know in the comments!
